Mr. Luis Nino, former career diplomat from Venezuela, has an extensive international career as a foreign diplomat. Mr. Nino served as an international civil servant at the Organization of American States for eight years as a director for Conferences and Meetings, and he contributed with conference logistics for the last three Summits of the Americas in Trinidad, Tobago, and Panama.

Mr. Nino holds an international relations degree from Central University of Venezuela, an International Negotiations Certificate from the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) and Institute of Advanced International Studies (IHEI) in Geneva, Switzerland, and a master of arts in international affairs from Georgetown University in Washington D.C., USA. Mr. Nino has recently completed the Emerging Leaders Program, an executive certificate in business administration sponsored by the Small Business Administration (SBA).

Mr. Nino is currently president of the American Business Network, a recently launched initiative that strives to connect businesses of Latin America and the Caribbean with the USA. He also serves as vice president of the Northern Virginia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (NOVAHCC). He is a regular columnist of the “El Tiempo Latino”, the Spanish partner of the Washington Post.

Spanish is Mr. Nino’s native tongue, but he also speaks English and French and has extensive knowledge of Portuguese.
